As part of that commitment, we have invested more than $700 million in critical technologies including:
- The da Vinci Surgical System - for minimally-invasive surgical procedures
- CyberKnife - a non-surgical alternative to cancer treatment with no incisions, anesthesia or inpatient hospital stay and little or no side effects
- Novalis Tx TM & RapidArcTM radiotherapy technology - the safest, fastest cancer treatment in the Denver region
- Varian Trilogy medical linear accelerator - providing advanced treatments that concentrate more dose on tumors, protecting surrounding healthy tissue
- An electronic medical records system
With advanced medical technology, such as the da Vinci Surgical System, CyberKnife and Novalis TXTM & RapidArcTM, patients are able to resume their normal lives with a quicker recovery and hospital stays are reduced by as much as 60 percent.
CH2020 serves as a catalyst for Centura Health to continue investing in technology advancements that improve the quality, cost and coordination of care throughout Colorado. A particular emphasis is the establishment of electronic health records linking our physicians, clinics, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home care services.
